Fire, Knives and Fridges. The material culture of cooking tools and techniques

For the 20th archaeometry symposium organised by the GMPCA, a talk and a poster will be presented by POMEDOR members Jacques Burlot, Joanita Vroom, Laurence Tilliard, Nikos Kontogiannis, Stefania Skartsis and Yona Waksman:

The symposium “Networking through Fustat shards” gathers Egyptian and European curators and researchers involved in the study of Fustat pottery. It is co-organized by POMEDOR member Valentina VEZZOLI, with the participation of Yona WAKSMAN and of a new POMEDOR member Ahmad ALSHOKY - welcome!

The meeting is followed by the presentation of the new book "En Harmonie/Mutanāsiban. Art du monde islamique aux Musées Royaux d’Art et d’Histoire de Bruxelles", Racine.

An international symposium where Ilias Anagnostakis presented the following topic: "Wild and domestic honey in middle Byzantine Hagiography: issues relating to its production, collection, and consumption".
