This international workshop aims at promoting archaeological and archaeometric approaches to Islamic-period sites, based especially on finds from recent excavations in Iran and the Caucasus.
It will take place at the Maison de l'Orient et de la Méditerranée, Lyon on 11 May 2023
It is organized by Mahdi KAZEMPOUR (Collegium of Lyon, "Archéologie et Archéométrie" laboratory) and Yona WAKSMAN ("Archéologie et Archéométrie" laboratory, Lyon), with the support of the Collegium de Lyon, the Faculty of sciences of Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University, the CNRS and the Archéologie et Archéométrie laboratory.
